Waseca's Shane Streich ran away with the boy's Class A title, finishing 14 second in front of runner up Isaac Overmeyer of Park Rapids in 15:46.4. The team battle was close with Mora edging Martin County West by four points 104 to 108.
In the girl's race Emily Donnay of Eden Valley-Watkins/Kimball Area caught Luverne's Madi Schandelmeier with just over a half mile to go and flew to the finish in 14:27.5. Schandelmeier ran 14:49. Donnay's sister, Anna, was third in 14:57.5. Trinity at River Ridge defeated defending champion Annandale 55 to 87.
