St. Thomas Sweeps MIAC Outdoor Track Titles Again

St. Thomas swept the titles at the MIAC Outdoor Track Championships at St. Olaf.  Tommie freshman Connor O'Neill delivered 23 of the men's team's 172.5 points by scoring in seven events.  Sprinter Mallory Burnham won both sprints and the 100 hurdles title to contribute 30 points to the St. Thomas women's 187 points. Tommie distance runner Erin Statz, a senior, won the 10K and finished second in the 5K, and her teammate, sophomore Gabrielle Pepin was fifth in the 5K and third in the 10K.

Women's team runner-up Carleton's Amelia Campbell won the heptathlon, long jump, and finished second in the high jump to add 28 points to her team's runner up total of 114 points. St. Olaf's Grant Wintheiser(32:08.50) finished second in the 10K to teammate Phillip Meyer(32:03.81) and won the 5K(14:52.59). The duo contributing 28 points to the Oles men's team runner ups 159 points.
